As a third-generation family business, we are committed to sustainability. We focus on the three areas of Environmental, Social and Governance. The key to our sustainable success is our 200 employees, who are committed in their daily work. By thinking and acting sustainably and proactively, they generate the optimum for our customers and our company, without losing sight of the environment and their responsibilities.
We have reached a major milestone: In 2020, we have been carbon neutral for the first time - balanced according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (Scope 1 and Scope 2). We are proud of this, but we are not giving up on continuous improvement!
As partner of climate alliance (Klimabündnis) Baden-Württemberg, ARNO has set the following interim target for 2027, linked to the monitoring report: ARNO aims to reduce its Scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions by 40 tonnes of CO2e by 2027.
This corresponds to a greenhouse gas reduction of approximately 20%. ARNO has set itself the target of permanently reducing its greenhouse gas emissions in Scope 2 by 40 tonnes of CO2e by 2027 compared to the base year 2021. This corresponds to a 100 percent greenhouse gas reduction in Scope 2. ARNO aims to reduce its Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 35 tonnes CO2e by 2027 compared to 2021. This corresponds to a greenhouse gas reduction of approximately 3.5 percent.
#Environment and #Product: As a developer and manufacturer of high quality products, and as a responsible employer, we believe in doing our part to protect the environment. We therefore actively encourage our employees to embrace environmental protection, optimise the use of resources and promote the use of environmentally friendly products. Our environmental policy is based on ISO 14001 certification and continuous improvement. In parallel with our environmental management system, we have developed an occupational health and safety policy based on the current ISO 45001 standard.
We are committed to comprehensive, transparent and structured sustainability reporting according to international standards.
