ARNO x Müller: Strong cooperation between two family-owned companies

 

The renowned drugstore group Müller has joined forces with ARNO to develop an innovative luxury perfumery concept for centrally located department stores. 

 

The partnership is based on the shared identity of both companies as family businesses still owned by the founding families. ARNO values its collaboration with Müller and was not only able to demonstrate its extensive expertise in shopfitting and interior design in this project, but also to develop creative solutions that are precisely tailored to the needs of the drugstore group.

Strategic importance

 

Accounting for around 20 percent of total sales, the perfumery business is a key area for Müller. To reflect this importance and to offer customers an even more exclusive shopping experience, Müller's new perfumery concept focuses on high-quality fragrances and beauty products. The aim is to bring luxury to life and at the same time strengthen the company's position as a leading supplier in the premium segment.

Design meets function

 

ARNO was able to contribute its expertise in shopfitting and design to the development and realisation of the project. Warm Cuba Libre tones create an inviting atmosphere, while the perfectly coordinated lighting sets specific accents and puts the high-quality products in the right light. High-quality counters and floors in a sophisticated wood look lend the space a natural elegance and emphasise the luxurious character of the perfumery. A flowing transition to the neighbouring experience areas and comprehensive customer advice create a unique shopping atmosphere that invites customers to take their time, discover fragrances in peace and receive individual advice.

First implementation and future plans

 

The premiere of the new perfumery concept took place in the Müller store on Hirschstraße in Ulm. The plan is to expand the concept to 20 more shops by the end of 2025. The success of the project is not only reflected in the positive response from customers, but also in the recognition from the industry: the concept has been nominated for the prestigious Duftstars Best Store Award 2025, which represents significant recognition for both Müller and ARNO and underlines the success of the joint work. With this step, Müller is setting new standards in the luxury perfumery sector and proving that tradition and innovation can go hand in hand.
