We are proud to announce our latest sustainability project: Together with S-TEC, the Stuttgart Technology and Innovation Campus, and in particular the Centre for Climate Neutral Production and Life Cycle Assessment (ZKP), we are investigating how the modularity of our systems works as a measure to reduce CO2 emissions.
As a manufacturer of permanent retail interiors, we know that the service life of a piece of furniture can have a significant impact on its sustainability. We have always taken a systemic approach. This means that we primarily develop elements that can be used over a long period of time because they can be adapted to a large extent to consumer behaviour and market conditions, if this can be expected.
The project should enable us to measure the value of modularity for greenhouse gas reduction on the basis of the latest scientific knowledge for the first time.
This is because modularisation into basic elements and customer-specific elements could potentially allow individual components to be used multiple times, thereby potentially avoiding CO2 emissions. The aim of the project is to identify this potential.
The innovative project is being carried out in close collaboration with S-TEC and three of our customers. We are pleased that this lighthouse project will serve as an example for other companies in Baden-Württemberg. It is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics, Labour and Tourism.
